After having a very profound experience during my first Sound Therapy treatment, where I experienced a deep feeling of peace and relaxation that I had never before encountered, I knew that day that I wanted to share the experience of sound healing and sound therapy with others — and so I began my training.
What is Sound Therapy?
Sound Therapy uses the vibrations produced by scientfically calibrated Tibetan Singing Bowls to melt away tension and stress and activiate your body’s production of Nitric Oxide (NO), which scientific studies have shown create a healing and calming effect in your body. The deep, relaxing resonance initiates self- healing through deep regenerative rest, leaving you with a feeling of profound physical and mental relaxation.
How Sound Therapy Works
Every cell in your body is made mostly of water. When these scientifically calibrated bowls are placed on your (fully clothed) body, the water in your cells resonate with the singing bowls, creating a wonderfully calming, healing, positive effect on your entire system.
The sound — and deep vibrations you will experience — are created by therapy grade bowls made of bell metal, they have a fundamental note but also have many overtones, partials and undertones that benefit the entire body, the sounds bathe your senses in glorious deep slow rhythms.
During Sound Healing, blockages are removed and circulation is increased giving a sensation of deep trance like relaxation and healing due to the reduction in stress and the production of Nitric Oxide. Nitric Oxide is used in every cell in the body and the presence of it is associated with profound wellbeing.
The Science Behind Sound Healing
Nitric Oxide is a vasodilator which relaxes blood vessels and increases blood flow to the entire body, working on the meridian and lymphatic systems, sound therapy enhances our immune function and helps to bring our whole body into balance.
