Our Mission

By integrating the finest aspects of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) with contemporary medical knowledge, my mission is to provide exceptional care and positively impact everyone who enters our doors.

About Me

My name is Charlotte, and I am passionate about helping people to be happy and healthy through Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).

Growing up in a family that valued Holistic Therapies, and having attended many holistic practitioners as a child and young adult, I was naturally drawn to these practices throughout my life. I discovered the brilliance of Acupuncture and TCM firsthand during my pregnancy with my first child, which opened my eyes to the many benefits of this ancient art of healing.

My working background began initially studying Cosmetology, Body Therapy and Electrolysis and working in this industry a number of years, I then moved into a career in Retail In Ireland and overseas. After taking a career break to bring up my family I decided to follow my true passion, and learn about the oldest codified system of medicine in the world. This led me to embark on an intensive three-year program at the renowned Acupuncture Foundation College in Dublin which gave me the knowledge and practical skills needed for a career in Acupuncture.

Balance Acupuncture Cork

How does Acupuncture work?

In Acupuncture, we believe that illness and pain arise when the body’s ‘qi’ or vital energy is blocked. Common causes include emotional and physical stress, poor nutrition, infection, or injury. By inserting ultra-fine, sterile needles into specific Acupoints, we aim to restore the free flow of qi, re-establish balance, and activate the body’s natural healing response.

Acupuncture works harmoniously with Western medicine and other complementary therapies. My approach focuses on treating the root cause of symptoms to achieve long-lasting results. MRI scans have shown that Acupuncture can stimulate positive, measurable effects in brain activity and alter neurochemical reactions. Additionally, Acupuncture enhances local micro-circulation and blood flow to the central nervous system, reduces inflammatory reactions, and creates a deeply calming effect on your mood while stimulating your body’s natural healing and repair processes.

Treatments Available

Alongside Acupuncture, I incorporate various modalities such as Cupping, Heat Therapy, Moxibustion, and Auricular therapy .Each treatment is personalised and tailored to your specific needs, with a strong emphasis on understanding each person’s unique requirements. By incorporating diagnostic methods such as tongue and pulse diagnoses, I aim to provide customised care that treats the whole person to enhance overall well-being.
