Linda holds a BA (Hons) in Counselling and Psychotherapy from Munster Technological University Cork. She is a qualified Counsellor and Psychotherapist, and a pre accredited member of the IACP (Irish Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy), working in accordance with the organisation’s ethical framework.

As a humanistic psychotherapist, Linda’s practice is based on an integrative, developmental and relational approach. She draws upon, and integrates, varied theoretical frameworks which she tailors specifically to meet her clients’ individual needs. These include Attachment Theory, Person-Centered Theory, Gestalt, Transactional Analysis, Internal Family Systems (Linda is an IFS Informed therapist) as well as other trauma informed frameworks.

Understanding firsthand the courage it takes to enter therapy, Linda believes that the most important aspect of psychotherapy is the relationship between client and therapist. Therefore she focuses on offering genuineness, empathy, non-judgmental acceptance and warmth. The collaborative relationship becomes a corrective experience for the client as Linda endeavours to provide a safe therapeutic space in which one can explore their internal and external worlds. She gently and compassionately works with her clients to investigate established thoughts and habits encouraging and supporting a journey of awareness, self-discovery and acceptance.
